Dominos- Cancun

Oh Yes, when I was in Cancun a few weeks ago, I craved pizza… in fact, many of my friends craved some late night pizza. Here is my review of pizza in Cancun, and most importantly, Domino’s in Cancun!

Bar Toma

On my first day back in Chicago (after a few weeks of travel), I was anxious to check out the new Bar Toma, a restaurant opened in place of Bistro 110. Tony Mantuano, a famous chef and owner of Spiaggia created the pizzeria-bar-mozzarella-gelato extravaganza and has has been receiving great reviews. Sara and I stopped in for lunch mid-week. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, and we decided to sit at the pizza bar where we could see all the action. Also, the Chef de Cucina, Erik Freeberg, was at the pizza bar to provide insight and cooking entertainment.

Ovenella- Boca Raton, FL

Well my parents have found a new pizza place. It’s located across from the Royal Palm strip mall in Boca Raton, right near my mom’s boutique. Ovenella hasn’t been open for too many months, but if there were issues before, they seem to have worked out the kinks. Ovenella is a full restaurant with a pizza oven and a full page of pizzas. The waiter told me their list used to be larger and it was originally marketed as a pizzeria, but they couldn’t handle the demand with the size of their oven.

Sapore Di Napoli

Jon and I had a nice date night at Southport & Belmont right next to the Flat Top Grill- Lakeview. Sapore di Napoli is an authentic Neopolitan pizzeria that is also BYOB. We set off for dinner at 8:30 on a Saturday night, and when we arrived, the place was packed. We waited 15 minutes to be seated at one of the ~12 two-top tables. The restaurant was bustling, and we came just in time… there were only 10 balls of dough available at the end of their night.

Apologies for the glare in the menu!
