Swizzle Inn- Bermuda

Spinach & Onion Pizza- Swizzle Inn

Swizzle inn, swagger out… that’s the motto of this timeless pub that’s been around forever in Bermuda. If you are in town, this is a TOP dining/drinking attraction, and it’s not to be missed. There are two locations: the original is near the airport, and the other is  on the other side of the island on South Shore Rd. They are famous for their Rum Swizzle, Bermuda’s national drink. It’s a great place to stop by before a flight or once you arrive. The food is reasonably priced and the swizzle is stellar:). Continue reading Swizzle Inn- Bermuda

Socca

On one of my few trips to Chicago (sadness), Jon & I got together with a group of friends to eat at Socca. Socca is located right near the original Mia Francesca in Lakeview, right on the corner of the street. The dining area has many tables and a large space. Also, since they are on the corner of the street, both corner walls were mostly glass to see outside… major plus.

Eduardo’s Enoteca

I absolutely love it when new pizzerias open up… especially when they are in my favorite city… AND when they have rebranded themselves. Eduardo’s Enoteca is a wine bar that used to be a good ol’ Edwardos. I really enjoy Edwardos, and I’ve already written two  posts about them. But now that they completely changed their menu (but kept the carryout/delivery operation), the place looks brand new!

5 girlfriends and I arrived at the restaurant around 6:30, quite early for a Saturday night. We came ready to wine & dine and were satisfied with the options. In fact, there were too many good options to choose from.

  • We were given some of the fresh mozzarella crostini as a light starter to our meal. As much as I love mozzarella & tomatoes, I learned that I enjoy balsamic and/or olive oil as well. It needed a tad more flavor to make me fall in love.  Then again, the fresh mozzarella was superb. Continue reading Eduardo’s Enoteca

Flight 1551

I had the pleasure of visiting Chicago for a weekend, and made a pit stop at a new wine bar in old town. We ordered a flight of red wines that were unique and intriguing. I hadn’t eaten lunch, and Nishi wanted something to nibble on. So I ordered a sausage & pepperoni pizza while she ordered the monkey bread. Continue reading Flight 1551

Pizzeria Locale- Boulder, Colorado

Yummy Margherita Pizza!

The last time I was in Colorado with my mom & sister, we stopped in Boulder for a few hours to see my sister’s house and try her new favorite pizzeria. Pizzeria Locale is actually on my “USA-BEST PIZZA” list, so I was excited to hit another great spot with a killer reputation. Here are a few things that stood out to me within a few minutes of entering the restaurant.

  • There is wine on tap—who can beat that!?
  • They slice fresh prosciutto
  • They have a beautiful pizza oven
  • They have a garage door which opens so people can eat at the bar from outside the restaurant!
