Spacca Napoli

Over Labor Day weekend, Jon & I took a Brown Line trip north to the Montrose stop. We were visiting a well-known Neapolitan pizzeria in Chicago, Spacca Napoli. Many claim that this is authentic Napoli and the best iteration in Chicago, so I knew I had to visit. On a Sunday night around 7:30, the restaurant was bustling, but we were promptly seated upon arrival.

Tocco Chicago

I spent last weekend in Chicago and was so excited to be back in my home city. Jon & I were meeting up with some of his friends at a new bar in Wicker Park, so we wanted to grab dinner in that area. After I vetoed the sushi dinner option for the evening, he made reservations at Tocco, a Pizzeria & Wine Bar near the Division St. Blue Line stop. Sono Wood Fired

I have been meaning to try this place for a long long time… Sono Wood Fired is located at the North/Clybourn Red Line stop, and right across the street from the gorgeous new apple store in Lincoln Park. It is owned by the same owner of Urban Burger Bar, and they recently finished up a Groupon promotion. Lou Malnati’s

This one is for all of my friends who claim that Lou’s is the best pizza in Chicago. I love Lou’s and always have, but as I was growing up, I was always a bit peeved at my friends because they were OBSESSED… but I am an equal opportunity pizza lover. Anyway, a new Lou Malnati’s popped up in the Gold Coast next to the Cedar Hotel. You can imagine my excitement when I turned the corner from my apartment to see a ‘Coming Soon’ sign for Lou’s in my neighborhood. Lou Malnati’s officially opened July 4th, but Jon & I were invited to check it out a few days before as the staff was getting acclimated.
