Lou Malnati’s

This one is for all of my friends who claim that Lou’s is the best pizza in Chicago. I love Lou’s and always have, but as I was growing up, I was always a bit peeved at my friends because they were OBSESSED… but I am an equal opportunity pizza lover. Anyway, a new Lou Malnati’s popped up in the Gold Coast next to the Cedar Hotel. You can imagine my excitement when I turned the corner from my apartment to see a ‘Coming Soon’ sign for Lou’s in my neighborhood. Lou Malnati’s officially opened July 4th, but Jon & I were invited to check it out a few days before as the staff was getting acclimated.

While we were looking for random fixings (chips & salsa, booze, etc), we happened across some ZA on sale in the center bin of the frozen section. I was intrigued for the following reasons: #1- It was cheap!! $6 per pizza is not a bad deal in Whole Foods, although it is still more costly than Jack’s pizza. #2- The cheese was NOODLE-like. Noodles? Pizza? I was confused and excitedly anxious to try some. Continue reading Eastside Cafe Pizza- Whole Foods

Trattoria Caterina

How could one NOT celebrate the Chicago #snOMG #blizzard without some pizza! On Tuesday night, I was released from work early so that everyone could get home safely. I made a quick stop at the 7-11 in the loop to stock up on essentials before hibernating at Jon’s apartment for the duration of the […]

Pat’s Pizza

After a busy week of work, I felt like ordering in pizza instead of sitting down at a restaurant. Pat’s Pizza was a great choice for the night because they only offer carryout and delivery. I couldn’t even find a menu online and was confused because there is another Pat’s pizza at the intersection of […]
